The Europa Passage
The Europa Passage boasts 120 shops over five floors. An impressive architecture coupled with a diverse range of goods on offer, an exciting gastronomic as well as art & culture mix, attract visitors to this venue. Since its opening in 2006 the Europa Passage has put its influential stamp on Hamburg’s city centre life, both commercially and culturally. It has established itself as the shopping address in Hamburg with its manifold shopping opportunities – popular with tourists and locals alike that seek that “special something”. It works on so many different levels, as it’s not just the wealth of different shops and culinary delights on offer right by the Jungfernstieg, but the Europa Passage has also become a popular place to enjoy a host of cultural events. Spread across the yearly calendar, countless exhibitions and events are staged here at the Europa Passage, in Hamburg’s primary shopping mall.
Parking and neighbourhood
Cars can be parked in the internal underground car park on 6 different levels. Underground and suburban train lines stop right in front of the entrance and the main train station, too, can be reached in just a few minutes’ walk.
Flagship stores of many famous fashion labels are dotted around the neighbourhood, such as the luxury brands Dolce & Gabbana or Louis Vuitton. Equally within easy reach on foot are famous 5-star hotels, namely the Atlantic or the Vier Jahreszeiten (Four Seasons), as are many top-quality restaurants and bars – the Haerlin or the Bar Le Lyon are just two of the many to pick from.
Interior design and fit-out
The EuropaKontor Business/Co-Working & Conference Centre Hamburg is situated on the top (6th) floor of the building and stretches across a 1,530 m2 area comprising a total of 45 rooms. Customers have shared office workspaces, different-sized offices, meeting and conference rooms and co-working and open-space areas at their disposal. An exclusive fireplace with a real fire, an impressive saltwater aquarium and a shower, are further centre highlights that combine to create the centre’s special ambience. Designer classics from Cassina, Knoll International and Vitra are eye-catching interior highlights. A special light concept from Occhio ensures that noteworthy pieces by Mies van der Rohe, Charles and Ray Eames, Philip Starck or Le Corbusier, are displayed to maximum effect.
Fans of fine designer office furniture in the classical tradition are going to love this business centre. The offices are furnished with items from the exclusive Swiss system furniture manufacturer, USM Haller, or may enjoy sitting in Vitra’s aluminium soft-pad chair.
Our kitchen section was created by Bulthaup, while the video and audio equipment was supplied by no other than Bang & Olufson, Hamburg. We relish the idea of welcoming people with an appreciation of form and materials and with an affinity for the extraordinary to our centre.
It is a place for work and at the same time a place to inspire the senses. The view from the rooms of this 5-star centre across the Alster, the town hall or onto Hamburg’s skyline with its new Elb Philharmonic Hall, could not be more imposing – and this at a price that beggars belief.
